Org. Setting and ReportingThis position is located in the Staff Well-being Unit, Human Resources Section, in the Programme Support and Management Services (PSMS) of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), Geneva. The incumbent reports to the Chief of the Human Resources Section and is responsible for the coordination of the Well-being Unitโ€™s activities. ResponsibilitiesWithin delegated authority, the Programme Officer (Head of Wellbeing Unit) will be responsible for the following duties: โ€ข Develops, implements and evaluates assigned wellbeing programs tailored to the specific needs of OHCHR personnel, in alignment with United Nations policies, including the UN System Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy monitors and analyzes programme/project development and implementation; reviews relevant documents and reports; identifies problems and issues to be addressed and initiates corrective actions; liaises with relevant parties; ensures follow-up actions. โ€ข Performs consulting well-being related assignments, in collaboration with the client, by planning facilitating workshops, through other interactive sessions and assisting in developing the action plan the client will use to manage the change. โ€ข Researches, analyzes and presents information gathered from diverse sources. โ€ข Coordinates policy development, including the review and analysis of issues and trends on staff well-being preparation of evaluations or other research activities and studiesand the provision of comprehensive expert services for staff exposed to trauma, and of psychoeducation for burnout and vicarious trauma, training for new staff during onboarding, and tailored training for managers. โ€ข Generates staff well-being survey initiatives; designs data collection tools; reviews, analyzes and interprets responses, identify problems/issues and prepares conclusions. โ€ข Organizes and prepares written outputs, e.g. draft background papers, analysis, sections of reports and studies, inputs to publications, etc. โ€ข Provides substantive backstopping to consultative and other meetings, conferences, etc., to include proposing agenda topics, identifying participants, preparation of documents and presentations, etc. and represents OHCHR in external discussions on workplace mental health and wellbeing. โ€ข Initiates and coordinates outreach well-being activities; conducts training workshops, seminars, etc.; makes presentations on assigned topics/activities. โ€ข Leads and/or participates in large, complex field missions, including provision of guidance to external consultants, government officials and other parties and drafting mission summaries, etc. โ€ข Coordinates activities related to budget funding (programme/project preparation and submissions, progress reports, financial statements, etc.) and prepares related documents/reports (pledging, work programme, programme budget, etc.), and promotes and facilitates partnerships with external institutions, such as academia, research centres and the private sector, focused on workplace well-being; โ€ข Collects and analyzes data to identify trends or patterns and provide insights through graphs, charts, tables and reports using data visualization methods to enable data-driven planning, decision-making, presentation and reporting โ€ข Ensures the implementation of the Wellbeing aspects of OHCHR Organizational Effectiveness Action Plans โ€ข Performs other duties as required. EducationAdvanced university degree (Masterโ€™s degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics, social sciences or a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Advanced studies on international organizations management, programming and/or organizational change management is desirable. Advanced studies and/or research experience in workplace well-being is desirable. Job - Specific QualificationNot available. Work ExperienceA minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or related area is required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience promoting and delivering workplace wellbeing programmes is desirable. Experience working in a multi-lingual, multi-cultural environment is desirable. LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this job opening, English is required. French is desirable.
