For the purpose of this vacancy, internal candidates are considered first-tier candidates. ย Context ย Under the overall supervision of the Senior Programme Coordinator (Protection Division), VHR in Libya and the direct supervision of the Protection Officer (Migration Returns and Reintegration), and in collaboration with relevant units in the Protection Department (PXD), the incumbent will provide clerical and administrative support to the effective voluntary humanitarian return activities, with a focus on case management, data entry, and follow-up with relevant IOM units and external stakeholders.
- Receive and process referrals from multiple entry points, including consular support, detention centers, embassies, hotline, and other IOM units and receiving missions.
- Assist in conducting AVM assessments for received and referred migrants, including accurate collection of biodata, documentation, and protection screenings in line with established SOPs.
- Record the classification of cases into Assisted Voluntary Return (AVR) or Assistance to Vulnerable Migrants (AVM) based on established guidance and documentation.
- Enter all assessments into MiMOSA with complete supporting documentation, photographs, and required country-specific forms, following data entry standards.
- Check paperwork for single-headed families and verify its completeness before uploading all necessary documents to MiMOSA.
- Refer cases to relevant IOM units or external partners (Medical, MHPSS, Specialized Protection, Consular Support), in line with established referral pathways.
- Carry out timely follow-up on referred cases using MiMOSAโs reporting functions, maintaining up-to-date records and documentation.
- Liaise with the AVM unit for clearance of vulnerable cases prior to the handover of the Travel Ready cases, as part of the VHR process.
- Hand over travel-ready cases to the VHR Pre-Departure Case Management Team only once the required documents has been completed.
- Participate in field missions to embassies, detention centers, and other locations as required for assessments and assistance.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date case records for he assigned caseload, including timely completion of data entry and reporting requirements.
- Follow protection principles, confidentiality, and dignity throughout the assessment and referral process.
- Perform other duties as assigned in line with the operational needs of the Migrant Protection Unit. Education
- Bachelorโs degree in political or social sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited educational institution with two years of relevant work experience; or

- Experience assisting in the implementation of protection programme activities.
- Experience in data entry, filing, case management, or document handling.
- Familiarity with IOMโs administrative, financial, and business rules and practices is desirable.
- Experience with data management systems, particularly MiMOSA, is an asset Skills

- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in database applications and spreadsheets.

- Fluency in Englishย and Arabic is required. Working knowledge of Frenchย is an advantage IOMโs official languages are English, French and Spanish.
