Under the overall supervision of the Senior Programme Coordinator (Protection Division), VHR in Libya and the direct supervision of the Protection Officer (Migration Returns and Reintegration), and in collaboration with relevant units in the Protection Department (PXD), the incumbent support the effective implementation of voluntary humanitarian return activities, with a focus on case management, data integrity, and coordination with relevant IOM units and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate the preparation of weekly workplans and contribute to the organization of staff deployment across protection assessment sites in line with operational needs.
- Participate in and coordinate field visits to detention centers, embassies, clinics, and urban locations, supporting protection case management and outreach activities.
- Support interview and pre-departure counseling processes using MiMOSA, including accurate and timely data entry.
- Carry out AVM screenings and facilitate referrals of vulnerable cases for further assessment and specialized support.
- Monitor follow-up actions on referred cases using MiMOSAโs reporting functions and highlight issues requiring attention.
- Coordinate with Protection, Medical, and Operations units to support timely information exchange and coherent case follow-up.
- Review the Initial Manifest for completeness and accuracy prior to submission to Operations.
- Support charter flight processes, including verification of case eligibility, compilation of passenger information, and coordination with Medical for โfit to travelโ (FTT) clearance.
- Coordinate with Protection team on the clearance of vulnerable cases prior to movement.
- Participate in NFIs distributions in detention centers, supporting proper documentation and updates in MiMOSA.
- Review paperwork for single-headed families and check for completeness and compliance with relevant IOM procedures.
- Provide status updates for commercial flight bookings and follow up on pending clearances or required documentation.
- Monitor case records are complete, up-to-date, and accurately reflected in MiMOSA.
- Provide technical support to team members on case processing steps and application of SOPs, contributing to consistent work quality.
- Compile regular reports on team activities, challenges, and achievements.
- Participate in internal discussions on SOP updates, workflows, and process improvements relevant to protection assessments and referrals.
- Participate in coordination meetings and contribute to cross-unit collaboration.

- Bachelorโs degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant work experience; or

- Experience supporting protection activities related to migrant vulnerability assessments, protection screenings, case management, or referrals.
- Experience in movement operations, transportation-related activities, or case management is an advantage.
- Familiarity with IOMโs administrative, financial, and business rules and practices is an advantage.
Experience with data management systems, particularly MiMOSA, is an advantage
Skills- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in database applications and spreadsheets.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate with multiple units. Languages
- Fluency in Englishย and Arabic is required. Working knowledge of Frenchย is an advantage IOMโs official languages are English, French and Spanish.
