Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) andย Seniorย Programmeย Officer (Immigrationย andย Borderย Governance (IBG)ย and under the direct supervision of theย Senior Programme Specialist (MBG), the incumbent will be involved in the implementation of migration and border management projects in the MBG portfolio of IOM Ukraine.
- Work in close cooperation with the National Project Officer (MBG) to assist in the implementation of migration and border management projects. Contribute to introducing the international best practices to the Programmeโs beneficiaries. ย
- Carry out implementation of border and migration management projects activities in part of procurement through supporting projectsโ procurement needs assessment, gathering beneficiary requests, coordinating projectsโ requests with the Missionโs Supply Chain Unit, and organizing donation to the beneficiary.
- Liaison with the Cabinet of Ministers and state beneficiaries for facilitating project registration.ย
- Assist the MBG unit in preparing necessary documents for project registration, keep track of projectsโ duration and submission timelines, coordinate activities in this context withย Policy and Liaison Unit.ย ย ย ย
- Assist Programme Coordinator in collecting data on MBG portfolio activities for further dissemination among beneficiaries, state agencies, donors etc.
- Assist the Project Manager in following up on the work of projectsโ consultants.
- Organize project events in Ukraine, including trainings, workshops, assessment visits, press conferences, etc.ย
- Cultivate and maintain contacts with Ukrainian government partners, especially those with a border and migration management remit, through in-person meetings, electronic communications, and official correspondence.
- Assist in reporting on ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, yearly and end-of-project bases. Contribute to MBG Programme monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Provide Ukrainian-English, and English-Ukrainian interpretation and translation when necessary.
- Compose relevant official and unofficial correspondence in Ukrainian and English.

- High school diploma with five years of relevant experience;ย
- OR Bachelorโs degree or equivalent in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Experience in administrative support in governmentalย sector or international organization;
- Familiarity with the Cabinet of Ministersโ workflows, structure and communication channels is an asset;
- Experience in working with state civil service / law enforcement agencies;Skills
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook etc);
- Ability to work quickly and accurately and pay attention to detail;
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure;
- Ability to present clear and concise information and good communication skills;
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.Languages
