Program: Climate-Resilient Food Systems, in the Catalysing Change for Healthy, Sustainable Food Systems initiative (CCHeFS)

Location: Ottawa, Canada (Hybrid Mode*)

You have:

Masterโ€™s or PhD degree with a minimum of three (3) years of experience and a record of publication in a relevant discipline such as nutrition, public health, food systems, or international development Proficiency in French and English (reading, writing and speaking). A significant recent experience in project management and development, and managing collaborative and transdisciplinary research, all preferably within the context of issues on climate-resilient food systems (CRFS). An in-depth understanding of food systems challenges in low and middle-income country (LMICs), especially policies and strategies for influencing demand and improving consumer food environments, and in CCHeFS. An enhanced knowledge in grant management, monitoring and evaluation, and knowledge mobilization of the climate-resilient food systems.

You are interested in:

Assessing proposals, including conceptual, methodological, operational, evaluative, and financial aspects, and identifying and developing research proposals in accordance with the Centre policies. Managing the preparation of contracts and grant letters, analysis of financial statements, adjustment of budgets and schedules, and project closures. Working and contributing within the Program Initiatives (PI) team structure that guides the formulation and development of the PIโ€™s program strategy and related project portfolio. Leading strategic communication activities, including the development of high-quality publications that will ensure that the CCHeFS initiative visibly contributes to national, regional and global dialogs about food systems change. Leading and supporting cross-initiative syntheses knowledge sharing of impacts of the CCHeFS initiative and collaborating at centre-wide level with different stakeholders. This position requires frequent international travel.
