Terms of ReferenceGeneral Background of Project or Assignment:
The Private Sector Partnerships Service (PSP) sits within UNHCR's Division of External Relations (DER) and is responsible for mobilizing support and resources from the individuals, corporations, foundations and major donors for UNHCRโ€™s mission in support of the refugee cause in five regions and more than 30 countries across the world. Based in UNHCRโ€™s Regional Bureau for the Americas in Panama City, PSP Americas leads PSPโ€™s fundraising investments and strategy in the region - including the five markets of Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Mexico and USA. One of the main strategic objectives of PSP Americas is to develop a leadership giving program to identify, cultivate, engage and steward corporations, foundations and high-net worth individuals with a regional multi-country presence in Latin America and an interest in the cause of displacement. The incumbent will form a part of PSP regional team in the Americas and will support the development of the regional PPH strategy for Latin America, including with research as well as the mapping and shortlisting of a regional PPH portfolio of potential donors (foundations, corporations and high-net worth individuals). The role will report directly to the PPH Officer and activities will be carried out in close collaboration with the Chief PSP Officer for Americas and other members of the PSP Americas team.

Overall Purpose and Scope of Assignment:
We are seeking a dynamic, proactive, and creative team player who will be supporting the PPH regionalteam for the Americas.S/he will play a key role in supporting the development of the regional strategy for the engagement with private sector donors in the region. Key responsibilities and tasks include:
o Conduct an analysis of potential corporates, foundations partners in Latin America by industry type, potential and affinity, and identify those that are aligned with UNHCR mandate.
o Create a strategic regional prospection plan and pipeline.
o Develop an engaging plan for each of the identified industries and implement it together with the PPH Officer.
โ€ข Contribute with follow up and management of existing alliances in the region.
โ€ข Establishing synergies with the different PSP areas to seek joint opportunities.
โ€ข Provide general support to the different activities carried out from the PPH area.
โ€ข Learn and follow UNHCR processes and statements of work.

Outputs:
1. Shortlist of 25 prospects (corporates and foundations) in Latin America with regional footprint (including due diligence, analysis and criteria, key contacts, cultivation strategy for each prospect)
2. Inserting, updating and managing of all information in Salesforce
3. Attendance to different internal meetings with HQ teams (CET time) and the regional team.
4. Background report for identified prospects that already partner with UNHCR in other regions.
5. Implementation of the stewardship strategy for the current partners.

Required level, qualifications and work experience:
- Proven self-starter with successful track record of developing relationships with corporates, foundations and other private sector donors.
- At least 3 yearโ€™s cumulative experience in sales, prospection or in fundraising from corporations and other private sector donors (foundations and HNWIs).
- Proven experience in nurturing and cultivating prospects.
- Excellent relationship-building and networking skills with large groups as well as with individuals.
- Ability to explain complex issues to external donors and present the organization and its diverse operations in an appealing, business oriented and concise manner.
- Demonstrated ability to take primary responsibility for projects and to complete them in a timely manner.
- Strong team player who also works well independently.
- Knowledge of Salesforce (desirable)
- Language required: English and Spanish
- Demonstrated knowledge, understanding appreciation of diversity and refugee cause (desirable).
