ย Context The Resettlement programs to UK, Germany and Italy provide a safe and legal way for some of the most vulnerable and at-risk people from Afghanistan to come to the above-mentioned countries and rebuild their lives. IOM provides a range of services and support to the resettlement programs, but not limited to, migration health assessments, cultural orientation training, organized transportation.ย IOM Pakistan prepares at risk Afghan families and individuals for their resettlement to the above-mentioned countries and PDO training in preparation for resettlement to these countries. These information sessions are a key to better facilitate two-way integration support to the new arrivals. ย
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission in Pakistan, direct supervision of the PDO focal point, and the general supervision of the National Movements Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for minding the children in a PDO class and provide basic PDO teaching for them.
- Assist and report in delivery of pre-arrival information through a hybrid mix of trainings modalities: telephonic, virtual and /in person orientation and needs assessment and referrals to youth and adult refugees in Pakistan.
- Keep abreast of changes in curriculum content of pre-departure orientation, be fully familiar with the content of PDO session delivery tools for UKCO, ITCO and German PDO.
- Contribute to the creation of agendas, learning outcomes, and facilitation guides for PDO participants.
- Support the PDO focal point in the preparation of PDO delivery planning and scheduling of sessions whether telephonic, virtual or in-person.
- Support, in times of training surges, the PDO activities in other locations around the world by conducting telephonic, virtual and/or in-person mobile training sessions to different locations in a larger region.
- Support in times when the Dari and Pashto language is needed, with the delivery of telephonic, virtual, or in-person sessions in other areas of the world.
- Support and assist in the preparation of narrative reports and in the translation of materials into target languages.
- Support and assist in maintaining inventory of PDO materials and in the distribution of PDO materials to clients.
- Carry out various administrative tasks, including logistics of Travel on Duty (TDY), the organization of meetings and workshops, corresponding with participants, preparation of background documents and presentations.
- Contribute to development of the PDO programmed by participating in staff development workshops, exchange programs, attend mandatory and suggested e-learning courses and in-person or virtual Training of Trainers seminars.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned. Education
University degree in Political or Social Sciences, Education, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience.
Or High school diploma with five years of relevant professional experience.

- Speaking more than one of the different languages spoken by refugees in Pakistan; especially Dari and Pashto.
