Job Summary:

FHI 360 is seeking an experienced, highly detailed, and technically proficient Paid Media (Biddable Platforms) Lead to join our dynamic paid media team. This role is ideal for a professional leader with a deep understanding of hands-on digital strategy and media buying on self-managed biddable media platforms (including but not limited to: Google Search, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and Reddit).

The Paid Media Specialist (Biddable Platforms) will be responsible for implementing and building campaigns directly on biddable media platforms (under the guidance of senior paid media team members) while providing optimization recommendations and maintaining industry best practices. The ideal candidate will have experience in all facets of the biddable media ecosystem (including both performance and awareness-based paid media campaigns).


This position requires a high level of detail and organization to manage the implementation and pacing of numerous separate-but-cohesive public health and social change campaign budgets. Because biddable platforms account for a large portion of the overall media investment, this individual will play a critical role in driving our clientsโ€™ business goals using said platforms.

Location: Remote (U.S.) - Eastern Time Zone hours; Preference for candidates based in Atlanta, GA, or Washington, DC.

Technical Officers (Level I โ€“ III) provide a range of technical and administrative services at increasing levels of complexity to support project implementation and proposal development. Individuals within these positions are expected to demonstrate an increasing level of proficiency with the specific relevant technical area.

Accountabilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Implementation: Leads the building, QA, and troubleshooting various campaigns, ad sets, and ads across multiple biddable media platforms (with guidance from senior paid media team members). Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to: conducting paid search keyword research, ad copy and content analysis, mapping out platform-specific audience targeting segmentation and accompanying recommendations, etc.

  • Budget Pacing: Own and strictly adhere to necessary budget pacing across all platforms, campaigns, audiences, and ads, ensuring budget is consistently on track (no over or under-spend).

  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor campaign performance, analyze key metrics (e.g., impressions, clicks, CTR, CPM), and make data-driven adjustments to optimize results.

  • Reporting: Develop comprehensive performance reports and insights to communicate key data points and insights to clients and internal stakeholders - highlighting key achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the media planning team to implement and adjust campaigns, as needed, while providing expertise and insight on biddable platform strategies.

  • Innovation: Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, testing, and emerging platforms to identify new opportunities for media placement and audience engagement.

  • Training and Development: Mentor paid media team members, as needed, to build a more cohesive and information-sharing team environment.

    Project Design Implementation:

    • Develops strategies and tools for the design and implementation of specific technical components.

    • Monitors project deliverables and reports to supervisors.

    • Leads technical project activities and sub activities and assists with project implementation.

    • May implement components of the technical portions of the project plan.

    • Identifies and raises issues to senior technical staff.

    • Functions as the technical lead with oversight of project technical administrative and finance compliance, technical deliverables, and team management, (includes projects and consultants).

      Business Development and Client/Funder Support:

      • Successfully leads new business development initiatives including project design, budgeting, and recruitment efforts.

      • Provides final authorization and approval of the technical portions of proposals and project design, based on the design and direction set by technical leadership.

      • Builds productive working relationships internally and externally.

      • Collects data for inclusion in proposals, which consist of assisting with proposal research and developing proposal strategies.

      • Draft proposals, budgets, and work plans.

      • Participate in business development meetings with partners and clients.

        Operations Management (Finance, HR, etc.):

        • Ensures project activities are on track with work plans, with technical expertise informing project implementation.

        • Oversees project timelines and budgets. Assists in the development of donor reports and presentations.

        • Tracks technical project spend under broad supervision.

        • Tracks Statement of Work (SOW) and budget tracking systems; provides reports to supervisors.

        • Collects financial and technical tracking data; prepares reports.

        • Coordinate with suppliers for procurements.

          Project/Program Reporting:

          • Prepares reports and papers summarizing project results and analyzing data sets and technical assessment findings.

          • Establishes and maintains SOW and budget tracking systems.

          • Drafts / prepares client technical reports.

          • Creates technical content (e.g., reports, presentations, manuscripts).
