IFC seeks a dynamic, detail-oriented ESG Advisory professional with strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.ย 
The ESG Advisory Operations Analyst will support IFC staff in delivering advisory solutions to clients and markets, gaining practical ESG experience in emerging markets and exposure to World Bank Group operations. The role covers the Asia Pacific regions and involves collaborating with a team of staff and consultants.ย 
Roles and Responsibilities
The Operations Analyst may be responsible for tasks such as:ย 
Project Support and Implementationโ€ข ย  Support ESG officers in developing, implementing, and monitoring advisory projects in line with IFCโ€™s Performance Standards and Corporate Governance Methodology.โ€ข ย  Assist in preparing project documents and ensuring projects meet objectives within deadlines and budget.โ€ข ย  Prepare training materials, review project research documents, and liaise with editors/designers and translators.โ€ข ย  Draft project services agreements and conduct integrity due diligence in collaboration with IFCโ€™s legal teams.
Client and Partner Engagementโ€ข ย  Participate in discussions with clients, regulators, and other key partners at the request of Project Lead.โ€ข ย  Coordinate logistics and support delivery of awareness-raising events and capacity-building activities.โ€ข ย  Collate materials for international/external communications including presentations, press releases, newsletters, and project photos.โ€ข ย  Collect information across internal systems and maintain data relevant to ESG projects.
Monitoring and Reportingโ€ข ย  Monitor development results and collect relevant evidence to substantiate project results.โ€ข ย  Assist in drafting proposals to development partners for funding and validate progress reports.โ€ข ย  Prepare monthly reports on ESG project status and portfolio reviews with management.โ€ข ย  Liaise with corporate procurement and finance officers to monitor project spending.
Coordination and Communicationโ€ข ย  Coordinate across internal functions within the World Bank Group.โ€ข ย  Prepare minutes of meetings and develop talking points for Project Leads.โ€ข ย  Conduct E&S risk screening of ESG and Industry clients and analyze data.โ€ข ย  Coordinate with ACS staff on consultant contracts.

Selection Criteria

โ€ข ย  Bachelorโ€™s or masterโ€™s degree in environmental/social management, Business Administration, Law, Economics, Finance, Accounting/Audit, Corporate Governance, or related field.โ€ข ย  Minimum 3 yearsโ€™ ESG-related experience, preferably in the private sector, consulting, or international organizations.โ€ข ย  Experience living and working in Asia-Pacific.โ€ข ย  Proven work with private firms or development partners across sectors such as agribusiness, infrastructure, manufacturing, or ESG standards.โ€ข ย  Familiarity with IFC Sustainability Framework and/or corporate governance methodology is an advantage.โ€ข ย  Strong research, analytical, and strategic thinking skills; detail oriented.โ€ข ย  Excellent organizational skills; able to prioritize and adapt to frequent changes and tight deadlines.โ€ข ย  Effective communicator with strong active listening and problem-solving abilities.โ€ข ย  Excellent written and spoken English; other Asian languages are a plus.โ€ข ย  Proactive and eager to learn.โ€ข ย  Skilled in presentations and written communication.ย โ€ข ย  Willing to travel.
