Your team
Within the Network Management Directorate, the Network Manager Operations Centre (NMOC) optimises traffic flows by constantly balancing capacity supply and demand while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of flights going to and over Europe.
The Network Specialist (N1: (Operating) Specialist) within NMOC is a key function which provides the flexibility to operate NMโs operational systems either in Flow Management, Flight Planning or in Airspace Data operations.
This function operates within the Flow Management operations by providing assistance to airports or airlines in optimising their use of available capacity taking into account the restrictions and limitations within the European network.
The role may evolve with the introduction of the new system, iNM, requiring adaptability and resilience.
Your role
Your role will be to :
- Coordinate effectively with airport operationsโ teams or airline operations/dispatchersโ team to negotiate optimal Air Traffic Flow & Capacity Management (ATFCM) solutions including identifying demand and capacity imbalances, negotiating improved capacity, and proposing rerouting, flights for exclusion or early arrivals.
Required qualifications, experience & competencies
Relevant studies or professional training to carry out the advertised tasks. Minimum 5 yearsโ recent experience in one of the 2 following ATS units: Airport operations (Airport Operations Centre (APOC) or Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM)). Airlines Operations (OCC or as Airline Dispatcher). Experience with NMOC softwares and systems. Experience in airport/airlines operations, processes and procedures. Experience with various systems used for airport slots (Online Coordination System (OCS) and Slots.aero). Understanding of airport slots coordination. Understanding of meteorological impact on airports. Understanding of relevant NM procedures and processes. This job requires physical skills and is subject to an internal vocational training which will lead to the awarding of a certification. This certification is subject to periodical validation.
