Your responsibilities
You will be part of :
The Beams department, responsible for the beam generation, acceleration, diagnostics, controls and performance optimization for the LHC and its injector accelerators.The Experiments Area Group, which looks after the secondary beamlines, infrastructure, and management of the fixed target CERN experimental areas, provides support to LHC experiments and machine detector interfaces (MDI), offering associated engineering support and specific technical services necessary for all experiments, related projects, and usersYou will join a team that provides Configuration Management, Engineering expertise and Operation Support for CERN's secondary beams & Experimental Areas as well as for related projects and studies. You will contribute to the North Area Consolidation Project:
- carrying out FEM analysis of existing BID's;
- prepare a manufacturing plan;
- produce engineering drawings, technical specifications and the \"as built\" documentation.
Your profile
Skills and/or knowledge
Experience in Mechanical engineering;Knowledge of CAD & FEM analysis (ANSYS).Fluent in English, the ability to work in French would be an advantage.Eligibility criteria:
You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.You have a professional background in Mecanique (or a related field) and have either: a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.You have never had a fellow or graduate contract before.Additional Information
