UNDP provides technical assistance within the framework of the UN Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) which is fully aligned with Liberiaโs National development Agenda. What we do UNDP supports Liberia's national development agenda and works closely with national institutions and local communities to promote, advocate and contribute to good governance, peace and security. Our work focuses on engendering national initiatives and strategies that help facilitate long-term development transformation in the lives of the people of Liberia. We offer global perspectives, complementary support and ideas on strategic development projects and capacity building in continued efforts to promote and protect human rights and improve environmental management. The end result of this transformation would be a country that is characterized by peaceful and inclusive politics and diversified economy, stable institutions, enforces the laws fairly, land tenure problems have been resolved, natural resources are efficiently managed and health and education standards have reached those of other middle income countries.
ContextIn commemoration of World Environment Day, we are seeking two Online Volunteers to manage a high-impact digital campaign focused on raising awareness about plastic waste pollution. Under the guidance of the UNDP Environmental Team and in close collaboration with the Communications Team, selected volunteers will oversee the development of messages, creation of social media graphics (social cards & reels), support and monitor the 100 online volunteers who will implement the campaign.
Task DescriptionTo commemorate World Environment Day, an online campaign will be launched to raise awareness about plastic pollution and promote sustainable practices. The campaign will be driven by 100 online volunteers posting daily messages across social media platforms. We are looking for two online volunteers as Campaign Managers to lead, coordinate, and monitor this effort. Key Responsibilities of Each Online Volunteer: โข Coordinate with message developers, social cards and reels creators, UNV and UNDP to collect approved messages for timely dissemination among online volunteers โข Ensure smooth coordination and performance of 100 online volunteers. โข Oversee daily content dissemination and engagement tracking. โข Provide strategic guidance and real-time support to volunteers. โข Analyze campaign performance and compile a comprehensive final report โข Deliver a final report with data analysis, insights, and recommendations. Timeline: Online Volunteer support is expected throughout the week leading up to World Environment Day (June 5, 2025), throughout the one-month campaign and week afterwards for reporting.
