Logistics Warehouse Assistant Sudan Kosti Area Office

The purpose of a Logistics assistant is to assist in the day-to-day implementation of the logistic function’s responsibility.  

Generic responsibilities

1. Adhere to NRC policies, handbooks, guidelines, and donor requirements
2. Assist with the implementation of the logistic function’s portfolio according to Plan of Action
3. Provide logistic administration and basic support  
4. Prepare and develop status reports as required by management 
5. Ensure proper filing of all support documents
6. Assist in the planning and delivery of logistic activity
7. Maintain logistic records, suppliers and equipment
8. Promote and share ideas for improvement of the logistic function
9. Perform other duties, as assigned by Line Manager

    

   Specific responsibilities 

10. Preparing of lists of items required for the office and liaising between the suppliers and management as required
11. Receiving of goods as per the POs specifications
12. On ward freight of goods received at CO to AOs
13. Preparing of stock cards/updating as soon as goods leave the warehouse
14. Preparation of monthly stock reports
15. Delivering/collecting documentation at various offices 
16. Assets management support and update of the register and inventory items
17. Store reports and support of the monthly stock report preparation
18. Physical stores control, stock and bin cards managements
19. Ensuring cleanliness of the warehouse.
20. Daily labor planning and guidance

26. Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related disciplines
27. 1-2 years’ work experience as a Logistic Assistant or similar role
28. Fluent in oral and written English and Arabic
29. Ability to meet deadlines
