    The purpose of the Logistics Technical Assistant position is to assist in the day to day implementation of the support functions responsibilities. Use actions words such as conduct or assist for the position relevant responsibilities.

Assist with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to plan of action Prepare and develop status reports as required by management Ensure proper filing of documents Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function

Specific responsibilitiesย 

These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly.

Maintain and follow up on all the logistics reports and tools; Procurement Tracker, Contracts Follow up, Stock and warehouse follow up. And update the reports as required Update the suppliersโ€™ ID (Resource Number) on Unit4 and make sure the vendor database is up to date and maintained Provide basic induction on Logistics for new staff and non- logistics staff in the office Maintain asset-tracking documentation, conduct physical checks and ensure completion of handover forms Conduct Benghazi procurements in accordance with guidelines and assist larger procurements including identifying suppliers, gathering quotations and preparing documentation including Bid Analysis, Purchase orders and Contracts Conduct daily checks on vehicles, generators and facilities. Arrange scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance. Fleet management and arranging movement requests from different teams in the office. Supervision of drivers and cars use. Assist stock and inventory documentation, storage and transportation Maintain and update the logistics Supporting documentation and follow the archiving and securing supporting documentation guidelines for all logistics files Assist in basic ICT issues, provide License keys for laptop software and support in basic network and printers troubleshooting and follow up

Scale and scope of position Staff: Numbers and titles of staff directly managed by the postholder, and numbers of staff and daily workers/incentive staff responsible for overall in the unit (e.g. 5 project officers and 2 education assistants, 34 staff in total) Stakeholders: Key external stakeholders the post has relationships with (e.g. UN agencies, INGOs, local NGOs, civil society, governmental bodies) Budgets: List of budgets covered by postholder, and size of budget Information: Brief description of the information resources the postholder is responsible for at CO level (e.g. GORS, Agresso, Webcruiter, Intranet) Legal or compliance: Brief description of any legal or compliance responsibility the postholder has (term of employment, vendors, donors)

โ€ข ย ย ย ย ย ย College studies withย 1 โ€“ 3 yearsโ€™ experience in logistics preferably in a humanitarian contextย  โ€ข ย ย ย ย ย ย Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts โ€ข ย ย ย ย ย  Documented results related to the positionโ€™s responsibilities โ€ข ย ย ย ย ย  Working level of written and spoken English ย  ย  ย  ย Experience of conducting competitive and accountable procurement ย  ย  ย  ย Document management experience ย  ย  ย  ย Experience of managing stock and assets ย  ย  ย  ย Good IT skills particularly use of email, Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience of Microsoftย  ย 365 is an advantage.
