The Logistics Team Leader will manage a designated logistics area, ensuring the effective execution of procurement, fleet management, distribution, and asset-related activities. Additionally, the Logistics Team Leader will play a key role in coordinating and implementing logistics strategies that align with and support NRCโs overall mission and operations. Generic Responsibilities:ย
Ensure adherence to NRC policies, handbooks, guidelines, SOPโs and donor requirementsย Implement NRCโs logistic systems and procedures at area levelCoordinate timely operational planning and management of logistic activitiesย Ensure that local SOPโs regulate procedures at field office level, and perform periodic checksย Coordinate market assessment within the scope and request of programme teamsย Prepare and submit reports and analysisย Ensure proper filing of all support documentsย Support line managers in procedures and require support team trainings related to logisticย Line management of the West Bank drivers, including support to recruitment and performance managementย Provide anti-corruption, transparency and cost efficiency focus in all processes (e.g. in procurement, vehicle management, asset management)ย Ensure safe and efficient transport of staff and materials/goodsย Perform other duties, as assigned by the Logistics Coordinator.ยSpecific Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the delivery of all logistics services, ensuring they meet project needs in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.ย Responsible for the smooth running of the day-to-day fleet operations including line managing the drivers for vehicles.Encourage a high-performing team environment through training, capacity building, and performance management.ย Work with the Logistics and Programmes teams to optimize safety and cost effectiveness across the fleet.ย Overall responsibility for drivers planning, working together with the Logistics Officer to explore and implement ways to better plan, schedule and monitor transport of staff and material.Ensuring that drivers carry out weekly vehicle checks and share the necessary information with the Logistics Coordinator/Office.Work closely with program teams, other departments, and external partners to ensure smooth coordination and alignment of logistics services with overall project goals.ย Oversee and lead procurement activities in line with NRC and donor policies, ensuring transparency and compliance. Ensure the timely and effective execution of all procurement processes.ย Take full responsibility for the management of NRC PS assets and fleet in NRC offices in West Bank and Jerusalem, ensuring proper documentation, tracking, and maintenance in compliance with policies.ย Ensure compliance with formalized logistics policies and procedures, maintaining documentation aligned with both NRC Global guidelines and donor requirements.ย Monitor key performance indicators for logistics activities, producing monthly reports for review and identifying areas for improvement.ยGeneric Professional Competencies:ย
Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics or procurement management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role, ideally in humanitarian or development settings.ย Strong knowledge of logistics operations, procurement processes, asset management, and fleet management.ย Experience in compliance with organizational and donor requirements and maintaining high standards of accountability.ย Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing demands.Managing resources to optimize results.Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.ย Fluency in English and Arabic.ยContext/Specific Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
University degree in Supply Chain or a relevant subject.ย Knowledge and experience of main donorsโ logistics policies.ย Knowledge of Logistics Management in the Middle East, particularly Palestine and Israel.ย Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team development, motivation, and performance.ย Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.ย Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships at all levels.ย Strong understanding of INGO policies, donor regulations, and compliance requirements.ย Knowledge of Hebrew is an advantage.ยWhat We Offer?ย
