Who we are looking for

NRC Jordan is looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and result-oriented profile who would be responsible for starting-up and piloting NRC Livelihoods programming in Azraq and Zaโ€™atari camps.

An experienced project manager with experience implementing Livelihoods, economic recovery, market-based and financial inclusion programmes. Ability to set up new projects and manage a team is a requirement for this position.ย 

The successful candidate should be a self-starter, highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills.

What you will do

The Livelihoods Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring timely and quality delivery and implementation of the Livelihoods project portfolio at area level. The roleholder will:

Contribute to CC strategy development, project proposals and provide input on needs and gaps, considering where appropriate the role of cash-based interventions and market based programmesย  Manage and implement delegated portfolio of livelihood projects (activities, budget, and project documentation) in line with proposals, strategies, and donor requirements, and ensure high technicalย quality. Supervise budget lines of relevant activities and monitor expenditure including the preparation, monitoring, and updating of financial spending plans. Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures and awareness of NRC global and regionalย strategies Provide quality regular reports to the Area Manager and the Livelihood Specialist on project implementation Provide regular progress reports to Area Manager and CC Specialist. Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need of protection, explore and assess new and better ways toย assist. Promote and share ideas for improvement and necessary changes in theย activities. Team leadership - managing performance and development of project fieldย staff through capacity building to ensure transfer keyย skills. Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other keyย stakeholders. Coordinate with other livelihood actors in camps, including regular and active attendance to the relevant coordination group, ensuring external representation and for NRC Livelihoods programming in camps to be updated about any contextual development. Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacyย strategy.

What you will bring

Minimum 3 years of proven experience in implementing Livelihoods, economic recovery, market-based programmes, coordinating activities, and managing teams. Specific experience and expertise in: Livelihoods, economic recovery, market-based programmes. financial inclusion programmes, such as facilitating saving groups, financial literacy training and digital finance tools. Strongly preferred. coordination, networking and representation previous experience of managing staff teams, including during periods of change, would beย  programme quality assessments, programme development and delivery. experience from working in complex and volatile contexts, with preference for previous experience in the Middle East region. Understanding of and commitment to: integrated programming approaches organisational learning, and the role and contribution of MEL to quality management and development. working collaboratively with technical and operational colleagues within a matrix structure, including capacity strengthening. University degree in a relevant social science discipline Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal
