Your responsibilities
As an Organization & Scheduling Support section within the Engineering Department (EN), inside the Accelerators, Coordination and Engineering (ACE) Group, you will be supporting for planning and coordination of installation activities, for the LHC Machine.
Stakeholders of the section are the Beams, Physics, General Services and Technology departments, as well as the other groups within the Engineering department itself.
In collaboration with the different stakeholders, you will:
Plan and coordinate all installation and maintenance activities for the different accelerators, ensuring all activities are carried out within agreed overall schedule.Prepare all supporting documentation and liaise between the stakeholders.Manage the impact of operational problems affecting the installation and maintenance work on the schedule, in order to minimize any delays.Identify and resolve conflicting co-activity issues with the stakeholders concerned and the Project Leaders.In collaboration with the relevant Safety Coordinator, ensure that all safety concerns related to the installation work are identified and that the relevant safety rules/procedures are applied.Your profile
Skills and/or knowledge
Competencies in Project Management, coordination, planning, scheduling tools, communication and negotiation.Fluent in English, the ability to work in French would be an advantage.Eligibility criteria:
You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.You have a professional background in Engineering or Project Management (or a related field) and have either: a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.Additional Information

This position requires:
Work in Radiation Areas.Interventions in underground installations.A valid driving licence.

A monthly stipend ranging between 6194 and 6808 Swiss Francs per month (net of tax).Coverage by CERN's comprehensive health scheme (for yourself, your spouse and children), and membership of the CERN Pension Fund.Depending on your individual circumstances: installation grant; family, child and infant allowances; payment of travel expenses at the beginning and end of contract.30 days of paid leave per year.On-the-job and formal training at CERN as well as in-house language courses for English and/or French.
