Skills Work LocationITC Headquarters in Geneva Expected duration01.08.25 - 31.01.26 Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Communications and Events (CE) section of the International Trade Centre manages digital communications on behalf of the organization. The social media team is seeking a junior consultant to assist with related communication tasks. The junior consultant will work under the supervision of the Associate Public Information Officer and the overall guidance of the Senior Strategic Communications Officer. Draft content (text, photos, illustrations and videos) for ITCโ€™s social media accounts. Based on instructions provided, implement campaigns to raise awareness of ITC and its mandate through social media, website and other communications channels. Collect key metrics on the growth of corporate and the Executive Directorโ€™s social media accounts, and the website, and prepare monthly reports. Answer and treat tickets under the social media category of the CE ticketing system. Make proposals for increasing and improving social media engagement of corporate and the Executive Directorโ€™s social media accounts, and the website. Keep abreast of emerging trends and innovations in the digital field and make recommendations for new opportunities to enhance ITCโ€™s digital presence using new tools and techniques. Use and uphold the standards set out in The ITC Style Guide, acronyms list, terminology database and formatting templates. Support the digital team with small multimedia editing tasks (photo/video). Qualifications/special skillsA masterโ€™s degree in communications, journalism, advertising, public relations, or related fields. Experience in the creation and production of social media content for use on platforms including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. Experience in photography and videography as well as post-production editing. Experience in social media management, publishing and reporting/monitoring tools. Experience covering economic and trade issues. Experience in the small and medium-sized business sector is a plus. Experience in a multilateral organization on strategic communications, editorial and multimedia content. Accuracy, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to compile, consolidate, and organize information for copy and report writing. Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or Canva, and Premiere Rush or Premiere Pro. Proficiency in social media management tools such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite. Strong research and analytical skills. Creativity. LanguagesAdvanced written and spoken English and Spanish. French and/or another UN official language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian) are desirable.
