a. Education:
▪ Advanced university studies in Law, Political Science, International Relations, Economics, or related fields, with emphasis and/or interest in International Human Rights and Refugee Law, Humanitarian Assistance, and/or International Development.
▪ Fluent in Spanish, and a good command of English.
▪ Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
b. Work Experience:
Required:
▪ Experience in organizing information for analysis purposes (either for academic or working purposes).
▪ Experience in conducting, participating in and reporting on meetings, and drafting
reports.
▪ Demonstrated excellent writing skills in Spanish.
▪ Thorough understanding of UNHCR's protection mandate and core mission.
Desirable:
▪ Experience in the context of humanitarian activities (Protection, Humanitarian Affairs, External Relations, Communications). Previous experience with UNHCR or other protection/humanitarian actors will be considered an asset.
▪ Experience undertaking operational and analytical work in the field of international affairs, international security, humanitarian affairs, development, or journalism.
▪ Thorough understanding of context analysis and/or protection analysis tools and methodologies.
▪ Demonstrated excellent writing skills in English.
