THE OPPORTUNITY
Plan International Philippines is looking for an Internal Audit and Quality Assurance Specialist who will assess the organizational compliance to internal control systems and policies as well as corporate mandates of Plan International Pilipinas Foundation and determine risk areas and gaps requiring corrective action.
Further, as the Internal Audit and Quality Assurance Specialist:
You will prepare and submit audit reports on identified weaknesses and risk areas with the recommended control measures. You will follow up results of the internal controls installed in the identified weaknesses and risk areas. You will provide fraud awareness raising and counter-fraud training. You will co-plan and carry out counter-fraud investigations as needed. Plan International is a development and humanitarian organization. In exceptional cases, you will be asked to support emergency response activities in the communities covered by Plan International.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
To be successful in this role you will need among other things:
University degree in Accountancy or Business Administration. Professional licensure preferred (Certified Public Accountant). At least three years of internal or external auditing experience, or in a finance and administrative supervisory role. Previous work experience in a non-government organization (NGO) is an advantage. With prior knowledge and experience in auditing standards and techniques; risk-based audit. Very good communication skills and ability to relate to and adjust to varying work contexts. Fluency in Filipino and English, or in any other Philippine language (written and spoken). Applicants must be based in the Philippines and Filipino nationals. This role is primarily office based but will require fieldwork in various program areas.
