Tรคtigkeitsbereich

The global project TUMI Just Mobility promotes concepts and measures for a globally just mobility. To this end, it is active in the following areas:

As part of the TUMI E-Bus Mission, it advises and supports cities worldwide in designing and implementing measures for climate-friendly and just transport systems. Within the EU co-financed measure \"MoVe Yaoundรฉ\" it promotes active mobility in Yaoundรฉ. It also supports the professionalization of the local informal transport sector (together with Agence Franรงaise de Dรฉveloppement, AFD). It strengthens the cross-sectoral expertise for a globally just mobility through knowledge products and further education offers. It positions associated transport concepts in global and local city and specialist networks.

For these activities, the project works with national and international partners, including WRI, ITDP, UITP, C40, ICLEI, ICCT and AFD.

Ihre Aufgaben

Support for research and activities in the field of sustainable transport, electromobility and renewable energies Further development of the Transformative Urban Mobility Initiative with a focus on Just Transition (circular economy, just workforce, gender) Support in the preparation of presentations and publications for our partners in emerging and developing countries (focus on TUMI E-Bus Mission) Support in the preparation and implementation of webinars Support in conceptualizing and editing impact content for online and print communication products (website, social media, publications) Public relations, e. g. supplying content for websites (www.transformative-mobility.org), and other administrative tasks In-house knowledge management

Ihr Profil

You are studying (at least basic studies or bachelor's degree) and/or have a degree in the field of transport, economics or social sciences, event management, media, communication, environmental, political sciences, geography or a related field. You bring a high level of interest in development policy and a basic understanding of the challenges facing the transport sector in emerging and developing countries and/or knowledge of international climate policy and approaches to mitigating greenhouse gas emissions in the transport sector. You bring affinity and enjoy working with digital/social media. You have very good written and spoken German and English language skills (Spanish an advantage). You have a very good feeling for language and are adept at writing and editing texts You have organizational skills and enjoy supporting the preparation of events and maintaining contact with project partners. You put creative ideas into practice in an agile, fast and productive manner and work efficiently, solution-oriented and independently. You are familiar with the usual Office programs (especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and have basic knowledge with InDesign, PhotoShop, etc..

Hinweise

Please be informed that you are only allowed to apply for this internship, if you are currently enrolled as a student or graduated not longer than six months ago from the start of your internship.

We pay a monthly stipend of โ‚ฌ2.064,- (gross). Depending on the country of assignment a monthly expatriation allowance (gross), predetermined by GIZ will be paid on top.
