Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: โข Lays out newsletters, reports, and other communications products in support of resource mobilization efforts. โข Drafts articles, blogs, announcements and other supplementary materials. โข Supports event coordination and outreach activities. โข Designs visual content of the Global Framework on Chemiclas and the Special Programme for communication with external stakeholders. โข Creates posters, banners, fliers, infographics and other communications materials. โข Researches content for printed and online material. โข Supports the creation of multimedia content and products. โข Helps with the maintenance and value additions to our internal and external websites; โข Perform other work-related duties as required. Qualifications/special skillsUNEP is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development with the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment. Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelorโs degree or equivalent). Preferred Area of Study: Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in communication, visual communicatin (Graphism and design), environmental sciences, chemical sciences, sustainable development. Fully proficient computer skills and use of web-based platforms and relevant software e.g. word processing, PowerPoint, excel, internal databases, Internet etc. Preference may be given to Master's candidates. Candidate should demonstrate ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.
