UNFPA CAMEROON Purpose of consultancy: Assessment of Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence in Cameroon
Scope of work:

The consultation is aimed to conduct a comprehensive assessment of GBV in Cameroon. This assessment will:
Identify the risk and protective factors associated with GBV, including the most common behaviors, the most commonly used mechanisms, the groups most affected by GBV, etc. Determine the extent and forms of GBV in Cameroon, with a focus on the most vulnerable groups. Establish the links between GBV and humanitarian crises and human trafficking situations to identify the most recurrent forms and their prevalence. Analyze the consequences of GBV on survivors, their families, and society. Evaluate existing response mechanisms to GBV, including laws, policies, services, and civil society initiatives. Formulate recommendations to the various stakeholders to strengthen prevention and response to TFGBV in Cameroon. Duration and working schedule: The duration of the consultation is estimated atย thirty (30) days, starting from the date of the signature of the contract. The consultant will be required to provide the following planning, monitoring, and reporting elements:
An inception report including a detailed work plan and evaluation methodology. A comprehensive evaluation report, including concrete recommendations. A presentation of the evaluation results. Supervisory arrangements:ย The consultant will be working under the supervision of the Gender/GBV program specialist.ย Expected travel:The consultant should be ready to travel in 10 regions, if necessary. The consultant must have the following qualifications:
Advanced university degree (Master's degree) in social sciences, law, public health, or a related field. Proven expertise in GBV and human rights. In-depth knowledge of the Cameroonian context and ICT. Demonstrated experience in qualitative and quantitative research. Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English. Ability and tact in handling sensitive topics. Inputs / services to be provided by UNFPA or implementing partner (e.g support services, office space, equipment), if applicable:UNFPA could provide a working space for the consultant if necessary.
