Position: Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) Assistant

Travel: Travel to and within Mai-tsebri, Tselemti, Dima, and Addis Ababa

Role and responsibilities
The purpose of the Assistant position is to assist with day-to-day implementation of the Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) Programme in Mai-tsebri, Tselemti, Dima woredas.

Provide and Facilitate information, counselling, legal assistance project activities to target communities in line with NRC policies, strategies, and work plans.Accurately record all ICLA activities in line with NRC policy and using templates and guidance provided by NRC.Facilitate and provide accurate information on legal and civil documentation (LCD) and housing, land, and property (HLP) rights and entitlements to target beneficiaries in accordance with agreed information scripts.Provide accurate legal counselling on LCD and HLP topics within his/her competency and in a manner that enables ICLA counselling beneficiaries to effectively resolve their LCD and HLP issues independently.Assist Provision LCD and HLP training using NRC approved materials and templates.Participate in assessments, monitoring and profiling exercises as agreed with line managers.Ensure that ICLA activities are carried out in line with appropriate NRC ICLA SOPs. Perform any other tasks as requested by ICLA line managers.Generic professional competencies:
