ContextThe Talent Management Division, based in Headquarters, Switzerland, is seeking an experienced online volunteer to support the visual design and layout of the Mobility SharePoint site and the Viva Engage Channel, in close collaboration with the Forecasting, Mobility and Planning (FMP) unit. The goal is to create a user-friendly, visually engaging, and accessible platform that reflects IOM branding and effectively communicates key mobility-related content to staff. In addition, the volunteer will contribute to multimedia content creation, including short videos and visual storytelling elements, to enhance internal communication and engagement. The volunteer may also support other divisions within the Department of Human Resources (DHR) with design and communication tasks as needed.
Task DescriptionThe Online Volunteer will be responsible for: SharePoint Design 路 Designing the visual layout and structure of the Mobility SharePoint site. 路 Creating custom graphics, icons, banners, and infographics to enhance user experience. 路 Ensuring consistency in branding, colour schemes, and formatting across all pages. 路 Advising on best practices for SharePoint design and user navigation. 路 Ensuring accessibility standards are met for digital content. 路 Providing editable design files and documentation for future updates. Viva Engage Channel Support 路 Designing visual assets for posts 路 Drafting engaging content to promote mobility-related updates (posts and announcements), events, and resources. 路 Supporting interactive features such as polls, Q&A, and feedback prompts. 路 Collaborating with the strategic workforce team to align messaging and tone with IOM鈥檚 values. 路 Monitoring engagement and suggesting improvements to boost participation. Multimedia Support 路 Collaborating with the Forecasting, Mobility and Planning Unit to conceptualize and produce short videos and multimedia content for internal communication. 路 Assisting in video editing, motion graphics, and visual storytelling aligned with IOM branding. 路 Ensuring accessibility and format compatibility across platforms (SharePoint, Viva Engage, etc.).
