ROLE PURPOSE
The Consortium:
Plan International (PI), Mercy Corps (MC), Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD), Al Jidara, Solidarity is Global Institute (SIGI) are contracted by USAID to implement Tawazon-The Promoting the Voice and Leadership of Women Activity, which offers a new approach to advancing gender equalityโone designed and led by Jordanian female voices and grounded in Human Centered Development (HCD) and behavioural science to sustainably change norms. The PVLW is a five-year activity that will create transformational changes in gender relations at the family, community and national levels to enhance gender equality and advance womenโs leadership in Jordan. This will be achieve through: 1) strengthening the enabling environment and institutional capacity and addressing structural barriers for women to fully exercise their rights, express their agency and freely lead and participate in society without restrictions; 2) partnering with local stakeholders to counter prevailing prohibitive social norms that perpetuate gender inequality, undermine womenโs agency to exercise their rights, and prevent transformative change in gender relations; and 3) advancing the inclusive and transparent leadership and decision-making participation of girls and women
Plan International Jordan is looking for a Gender Capacity Strengthening coordinator to provide technical support to Tawazon project in terms of capacity strengthening across the three pillars. The coordinator will work closely with Planโs gender officer and gender specialist, and with other consortium partners, to ensure timely fulfilment of the annual work plan.

Accountabilities
Plan international, a Tawazon consortium member, is seeking to hire a Gender Capacity Strengthening coordinator who will be responsible for:
Program Management

- Collaborate with the Gender Inclusion & Social Equity (GISE) team to establish criteria for selecting participants in the CoC program.
- Support the development of capacity strengthening plan that is in line with the legislative agenda and with GoJ own priorities.
- Adopt inclusive approaches to promote womenโs leadership and voice across all capacity strengthening activities
- Design a tailored Training of Trainers (ToT) curriculum for specific areas, ensuring content meets local needs.
- Ensure proper documentation, monitoring and evaluation of all activities through Track and evaluate training outcomes, maintaining comprehensive participant records and feedback.
- Ensure the reflection of the findings of the gender analysis in all capacity strengthening activities.
- Lead the delivery of the CoC Trainer Qualification Program and provide ongoing mentorship during session facilitation.
- Draft Terms of Reference (TORs) for all consultancy services supporting participant-led initiatives in selected regions.
- Directly supervise the COC trainers through conducting regular meetings and evaluations to oversee trainersโ performance and ensure timely session delivery.
- Provide trainers with necessary tools, resources, and guidance to support impactful training.
- Address challenges faced by trainers and participants, working collaboratively to enhance program delivery.
- Oversee participant registration, ensuring alignment with the programโs criteria and goals.
- Maintain detailed participant records, including attendance and performance metrics.
- Revise CoC materials designed for ages 14-17 to align with the needs of the 18-28 age group, ensuring content, language, and activities are appropriately tailored for young adults at every stage of the program.
