Job Description

Your responsibilities

Join our multi-disciplinary \"Configuration, Settings & Automation\" team and work at the heart of CERN, re-engineering the critical software used to develop and evolve industrial controls applications CERN-wide.
As part of the Engineering to Alignment (E2A) project, you will be responsible for developing the Layout platform, providing new enriched features to fully support the engineering to alignment process chain.

In this position, you will:

- Develop and maintain the Layout platform using Oracle, Angular and Java technologies;
- Collaborate with the team of engineers and physicists to understand the requirements and implement the functionalities;
- Ensure the quality of the software by writing tests and participating in code reviews;
- Participate in the software development life cycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance;
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to the software.

Your profile

Skills and/or knowledge

Proven experience in software development using UI framework (Angular, React, VueJS), Java and Spring Boot; Experience with web APIs (REST);Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/Typescript;Good communication skills and strong ability to work in a team, but also autonomouslyFluent in English, the ability to work in French would be an advantage.

Eligibility criteria:

You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.You have a professional background in informatique (or a related field) and have either: a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.You have never had a fellow or graduate contract before.
