What we are looking for
NRC Iraq is looking forย a Finance Managerย to join the mission. The role holder willย be responsible for ensuring that the financial set up is according to NRC standard and support programme/project implementation.ย NRC Iraq is in a phase down process with increased capacities in country and a reduced humanitarian environment.ย Our implementation and operational footprint countrywide is reducing and change management processes are underway to ensure that NRC remains suitable for the context. The Finance Manager will be responsible to ensure compliance with NRC policies, donor regulations and government requirements during the change process.

What You Will Do
Line management of support managers such as Finance, HR & Admin, Logistics, and ICT.
Ensure that country set up adhere to Financial Handbook, NRC policies, donor and auditor requirements, and in line with NRC exit handbook.
Implement NRCโs financial systems, routines and procedures.
Maintain overall budget control and monitor cash flows
Management of financial team.
Training of line managers and staff with financial responsibilities.ย
Provide regular analysis and reports.
Implement anti-corruption policy.
Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy.
Team capacity development and participate in implementing Iraq DEI action plan.

What You Will Bring
Minimum 3 years of experience from working as a senior Financial Manager in a humanitarian/recovery context.
Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.
Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
Experience in implementing change and updating processes in line with organisation current ways of working.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in financial systems and structures development.
Experience in leading Finance units during change management processes (start-up, exit or emergency response phases).
Proven experience in empowering and capacity building of budget holders.ย
Understanding of the context in Iraq would be an advantage, with Baghdad authority engagement a priority.
Knowledge of Kurdish would be an added advantage.
Ability to work independently, priories tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining collaboration with diverse team members.

Contract Duration: 6-8 months maximum.
50 % travel, approximately Salary/benefits: grade 9ย on NRCโs salary scale. NRC offers competitive salary and package.
