In this full-time, maximum term role (through to end of June 2027, with the possibility of extension), youโ€™ll work as a key contributing member of the TSCF case management team across Darwin and Palmerston. Youโ€™ll provide family and child focused support and services to families with children aged 0-18 who are living in social housing and vulnerable tenancy situations, while working with them to respond to crisis, stabilise their tenancy and prevent homelessness.

You will make a difference by:

Provision of quality service delivery to families who have children aged 0-18 years and are at risk of homelessness Carrying out assertive community outreach via home visits, in order to provide risk assessments, safety planning and case management Providing practical supports to stabilise tenancies, including working with real estate agencies and housing providers Facilitating and developing external partnerships and making referrals as needed Carrying out monitoring, evaluation and reporting

Importantly, you have a strong understanding of the impact of trauma on children and their families and youโ€™re keenly aware of the additional impacts and barriers experienced by families residing in vulnerable tenancy situations.


This role requires:

Demonstrated experience in case management and knowledge of relevant legislation Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families, and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities Demonstrated experience working with clients who are facing challenging and multiple barriers Strong report writing, analytical and evaluation skills, including data collation and analysis Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or significant experience working in a similar service
