ย Context Under the overall supervision of the Head of Sub Office, technical supervision of CCCM Programme Manager and direct supervision of Senior CCCM Project Assistant, the successful candidate will perform the following functions.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities and support Project Assistants (CCCM) in implementation of field level CCCM activities under all four CCCM pillars, Coordination & Information Management, Community Participation & Self-Governance, Site Planning, Development & Improvement, and Capacity Building.
- Retrieve, compile, summarize, analyse, and present information/data on specific project topics.
- Monitor budget; verify availability of funds; obtain necessary approval and update budget related information.ย ย ย ย
- Act as focal point for administrative coordination of project implementation, involving extensive liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions, etc.
- In close coordination with Woreda and site level authorities and service providers, especially Shelter, WASH and Health actors, contribute to CCCM facilitation of site/woreda level coordination.
- Draft status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery, bring them to the attention of the supervisor and suggest remedial actions.
- Draft correspondence on project issues; prepare and update reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentation and other forms of documentation.ย
- Respond to complex information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records; organize meetings, workshops and training sessions;ย
- Participate in meetings and conferences; assist in coordinating implementation activities withย local authorities, partners, United Nation agencies, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, donors and other stakeholders relevant to the project.ย
- Ensure the establishment and/or restructuring site leadership and representative governance structures (site committees) thereby provide them with capacity building trainings on their Terms of Reference (ToR) and Code of Conduct (CoC), using IOMโs standard tools.
- Make sure that the CFM data of the IDP site and/or returnee location are collected, organized, and shared with IM team on weekly basis, Kebele profiles data on monthly or as may be requested, prepare and send respective locations weekly updates by compiling from the field team.
- Assist in monitoring work of implementing partners and report non-compliances to the supervisor.
- Provides guidance/training to new/junior staff.ย

Education- School diploma with five years of relevant experience; or,
- Bachelorโs degree in political or social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. ย Experience
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage Skills
- In depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by the Organization; and,
- Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming.
- Knowledge of financial rules and regulations
- Knowledge of computer skills such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint Languages
- Fluency in English and Tigrinya languages (oral and written). IOMโs official languages are English, French and Spanish.
