This is an expedited recruitment process open only to internal candidates and former IOM staff members who were separated in the last 12 months due to the structural adjustment process. This process is not open to external candidates; their applications will not be considered.
Under the supervision of the National Communications Officer in IOM Mission in Poland the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for providing assistance to the whole Mission in Graphic Design and Community Engagement supporting the implementation of all programmes and projects in IOM Mission in Poland.
- Assist in the implementation of project and programme activities by actively supporting enhanced graphic identity, increased visibility and promotion across IOM Polandโs communication channels.
- Collect, compile, summarise, analyse, and present information and data on specific project topics in a clear and visually engaging manner.
- Serve as the focal point for community engagement tools (particularly Telegram) to support programme implementation, liaising with internal units and external partners to gather information, obtain necessary clearances, process actions, and ensure follow-up.
- Draft, review, and publish direct communications for IOM beneficiaries in line with humanitarian principles, proposing innovative approaches to expand outreach.
- Monitor engagement across various platforms, respond to beneficiary inquiries, and recommend creative ways to enhance awareness of IOM programmes, projects, and services available to migrants, displaced communities, and host communities.
- Liaise with service providers and vendors for the design and production of graphic materials.
- Support the Communications Officer and the broader Communications team in advocacy and visibility activities, contributing to an accurate and consistent representation of IOM Poland in external channels.
- Participate in meetings and conferences; assist in coordinating implementation activities with local organisations, partners, UN agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Support monitoring of implementing partners and report any non-compliance issues (including breaches of IOM branding guidelines and other reputational risks) to the supervisor.
- Provide guidance and training to new or junior staff members.

- School diploma with five years of relevant experience; or,
- Bachelorโs degree in Graphic Design, Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experienceAccredited Universities are those listed in theย UNESCO World Higher Education Database.ย Experience
- Experience in graphic design and communications, particularly in collaboration with governmental authorities, national and international institutions, United Nations agencies, non-governmental organizations and/or private sector.
- Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking, and other vulnerable groups.
- Previous work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-governmental or governmental institutions, in a multicultural setting is considered an advantage.Skills
- Extensive graphic design expertise, proficient in tools such as Adobe InDesign, Canva, and other design software.
- Comprehensive understanding of IOM branding standards, with proven ability to ensure compliance with advocacy and communication principles.
- In-depth knowledge of migration issues in Poland and a strong understanding of beneficiary-specific communication needs.Languages
- Fluency in English and Polish is required.ย
