Collaborate with the preparation and review of installation plans and technical designs. Calculate bill of quantities and prepare Scope of Requirements, including the development and review of AutoCAD drawings. Support the management and supervision of contractors and suppliers involved in the installation process. Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Ensure all installation work complies with local regulations, UN safety protocols, and environmental standards. Assist in the logistical and administrative coordination of the A/C installation project. Monitor and report on the progress of the installation, ensuring timelines and requirements are met. Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or project manager. Monitor and report the progress of the projects under his/her supervision. Perform any other related duties as assigned. Qualifications/special skillsHigh School degree or equivalent diploma is required. The selected candidate must have completed at least six semesters of technical or university-level education in engineering, electromechanics, or a related field, with a valid diploma or academic certificate as proof. A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience is required in the construction, commissioning, operation, or maintenance of facilities and infrastructure, specifically in one or more of the following trades: carpentry, electrical, heavy equipment operation, mechanics, plumbing, welding, or other related fields. At least three (3) years of verifiable professional experience in the installation and/or maintenance of air conditioning systems is required. Knowledge of, or certification in, AutoCAD is also required. LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in Spanish is required and knowledge of English is desirable.
