As an Electrical Engineer, you will join the Engineering Department in the EN-EL-EPM team to work on the High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) project, whose scope is the upgrade of the Large Hadron Collider to increase its luminosity and enhance the physics research for next decades. You will support the project management and engineering team on the study, execution and coordination of the whole electrical work package for HL-LHC. The scope of the project covers a wide range of high and low voltage systems and equipment aimed to supply the new surface and underground facilities.

The role includes technical and organizational tasks:

Identify needs and requirements from usersParticipate in site surveysPrepare studies and cost estimationsProcurement of material and servicesFollow up of on site works up to commissioning and handover to OperationsPreparation of project documents (reports, change requests, specifications, etc.)Budget follow up and cost analysisFollow up on schedule (master planning and execution planning)Development of quality plans and documentsParticipation to project and coordination meetings

Your profile

Skills and/or knowledge

Excellent team-working attitudeA good working knowledge of either English or French, with the undertaking to learn the other language during the first months of the contract

Eligibility criteria:

You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.You have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Electrical or Industrial Engineering (or a related field) by the application deadline.Your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.Applicants without University degree are not eligible.Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.
