The purpose of the position is to assist in the day-to-day implementation of Education activities in East AO (Dnipro).

Generic responsibilities:
1. Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines, with strict adherence to the Code of Conduct and Child Safeguarding policies.
2. Assist a range of support with the implementation of the Education CC portfolio according to plan of action.
3. Implement and monitor project activities upon workplan under coordination of Education Coordinator.
4. Responsible for organising and delivery of tasks in line with priorities and standards.
5. Develop and maintain knowledge of the specialist area of work in which technical assistance and support is being provided, to be most effective in supporting the team.
6. Use initiative in day-to-day problem solving in line with agreed procedures, priorities and standards for the area of work.
7. Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
8. Promote and share ideas for improvement in your area of expertise.
9. Ensure proper filing of documents.
10. Promote the rights of refugees, IDPs, returnees and the host community in-line with SPERE and INEE Minimum Standards

Specific responsibilities:
1. Assist in education needs assessment, gather information and report to line manager.
2. Communicate with the schoolteachers and principals, organization of training, including the planning, procurement request and other relevant procedures.
3. Contribute to the education team with preparing progress, regular and donor reports.
4. Regularly travel to the field to support education.
5. Assist the ongoing monitoring and reporting of project outputs/outcomes at field level per M&E plan and donor requirements, including data collection and data entry
6. Ensure direct communication and feedback with beneficiaries and stakeholders at field level, with a focus on community leaders, headmasters/principals, teachers, and students.
7. Ensure complaints and feedback response mechanism is in place at field level.
8. Ensure schools and learning spaces are safe for children and report all protection concerns immediately.
9. Any other task relevant to the position as requested by the line and/or technical manager.
