Job Overview
The Education Technical Assistant works with the Education Technical Officer, the area Education PM/Coordinator, and the Education Master Trainers to ensure the quality of NRCโs education programme in the respective province which will be implemented through local partners. He/she will also be responsible to regularly monitor the progress of the project activities, provide technical direction to Implementing Partners (IPs) and improve their technical capacity to ensure quality implementation of NRCโs education projects.ย

Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines.ย Prepare and develop status reports as required by management Ensure proper filing of documents. Identify and respond to capacity-building needs and provide systematic training to NRCโs and local partnersโ staff. Support evidence-based learning for program development.ย Provide technical support to Implementing Partners (IPs) and improve their capacity to ensure quality implementation of NRCโs education projects.ย Provide feedback sessions and capacity development sessions for Ips staff regarding teaching methodologies, Class management and learning environment. Observation that NRCโs procedural tools, SOPs and guidelines are understood and properly used by the Implementing Partners and NRCโs provincial education team members. Ensure all required materials (Learning kit, teacher kit, class kit, hygienic/disinfection materials, textbooks) are provided/available in ALP & CBE classes. Distribution of educational kits/materials and textbooks for responsible ALP & CBE classes and collection and handover of the collected Data collection and update project databases and shared on time with relevant people. Conduct regular assessments to identify psychosocial support needs within education. Advocacy for program/beneficiaries through the development of case studies/success stories Introduce the tools to IPs staff and ensure that procedural tools are used properly by the local partners. Support the M&E team and IPs in conducting the PDMs, outcome monitoring or any evaluation. Take the responsibly on timely procurement/supply of TLMs and payment of CBE/ALP teachersโ salary through Logistic/Procurement and Finance. Any other relevant task assigned by the line manager. ย Liaison and collaborate with the local partner and relevant local authorities and stakeholders. Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy.

Specific responsibilitiesย
Conduct regular field visits to provide supportive supervision to local partners and ensure high technical quality and synergies in project implementation in accordance with MoE and NRCโs SOPs, guidelines, and standards.Generic professional competencies for this position:ย
University degreeย in Education (Education Management, Planning, General Education), Social Science and Development Studies. Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the implementation of education or similar projects in a humanitarian/recovery context Experience working in the Education Emergency and psychology support field is an advantage. Previous experience working in complex and volatile contexts. Documented results related to the positionโs responsibilities. Knowledge about own leadership skills/profileย Good in English, both written and verbal.ยContext-related skills: knowledge and experience (shall be adapted to the specific position):ย
Should have geographical experience. Knowledge of the local languages โ Dari, Pashtoย and Uzbeki Experience in capacity building and training of staff Experience of coordination and advocacy work Political and cultural awareness and experience of working where insecurity is an issue Strong analytical thinking skills (qualitative and qualitative)2.
