The Education Team Leader (Edu TL) in Saripul works with Education Officers and Education Technical Assistants/Assistants to ensure the quality of all Education activities in the field through direct supervision of teams; led by Officers, Technical Assistants. The aim of NRCโs Education program is to enable vulnerably, displaced, returnee, and host community children and youth to have access to quality education in a protective environment. He/she take the lead of project implementation in Saripul and itโs all districts.ย
Community-Based Education (CBE), Accelerated Education Programme (AEP), Education in Emergency (EiE), Education First Phase Response (EFPR) and Support to Formal Education (SFE) are the main components of Education Projects in Saripul province. And providing opportunities to enrolee out of schoolโs children to the CBE/AEP classes to support public Hub Schools and strengthen their capacity to host the IDP, Returnee, and host community out of school children to continue their education in the upper level.ย
ย The Education Team Leader will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and reporting the projects and ensuring the quality of all Education projects being implemented in the Saripul. This will include leading of Education team in Saripul, tracking the procurements and recruitments and participating in data collection fieldwork; overseeing the beneficiary selection process in coordination with communities, local stakeholders, and other NRC units ensuring that projects are being implemented on schedule (including keeping clear records of distributions); ensuring that monitoring and evaluation (M&E) plans are being implemented, and immediately flagging any.
The Education Team Leader will report to the Education Coordinator, Education Project Manager - North (North Region, Mazar Office) working closely with FoC on internal and external coordination. He/She will be accountable for overall education activities in Saripul.ย

Ensure compliance with NRC policies, guidelines, and standards. Implement plan of action for the delegated portfolio of CC Education projects (activities, budget, and project documentation). Day-to-day follows progress in project implementation. Ensure compliance with Education strategy, tools, handbooks, guidelines, and standards. Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need of protection explore and assess new and better ways to assist target populations per the Education strategy. Provide specific technical support and capacity building towards project staff including CBWs. Provide specific technical analysis and feedback to NRC representatives in coordination forums Assess, promote and document ideas for technical improvement and further program development options. Experience from working Education project implementation position in a humanitarian/recovery context. Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts. Documented results related to the positionโs responsibilities. Good English, both written and verbal including local languagesย Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile.Context related skills; knowledge and experience:
Bachelor degree from faculty of Education, Management, and Social science. Minimum 3 years of experience in Education project implementation, ย preferably in senior ย with UN or INGOs. Significant experience in monitoring, evaluation and reporting on project activities specially CBE and EiE activities. Advanced computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook Experience of geographical access negotiation and representation, including with local authorities, I/NGOs, and communities.ย Behavioural competencies:
