Roles & Responsibilities:ย
The Education Coordinator is responsible for implementing the delegated Education project portfolio within Amhara and Afar Area offices to managing the day-to-day activities of Education staff to ensure proper delivery, high-quality results and compliance with applicable laws, standards, practices, policies, and procedures with close collaboration with Area Programme manager and Education specialist.
Generic Responsibilities:
Line management of CC project field staff, Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures, Contribute to CC strategy development, project proposals and provide input on needs and gaps in the education sector., Manage and implement delegated portfolio of CC projects (activities, budget and project documentation) as delegated from PM in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements, and ensure high technical quality, Provide regular progress reports to Area programme Manager and Education specialist. Maintain high technical quality, share ideas for improvement and necessary changes in the activities, Supervise the Education team, ensure their capacity building, and transfer key skills on a regular basis, Liaise and collaborate with relevant education authorities and other key stakeholders, Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need of protection, explore and assess new and better ways to assist, Ensure that NRCโs related activities are implemented within NRCโs Protection mainstreaming guidelines and report any breaches/concerns to the line manager and/or focal point for proper action, Ensure that all protection related cases detected are referred to the referral focal point concerned and to the related Protection Coordinator. Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy.Specific Responsibilities:

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) Geneva leads NRCโs representation with the IASC and UN agencies, and coordinates donor engagement with the UN and Swiss donors.
