IFC โ€” a member of the World Bank Group โ€” is the largest global development institution focused on the private sector in emerging markets. We work in more than 100 countries, using our capital, expertise, and influence to create markets and opportunities in developing countries. In fiscal year 2023, IFC committed a record US$43.7 billion to private companies and financial institutions in developing countries, leveraging the power of the private sector to end extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity as economies grapple with the impacts of global compounding crises. For more information, visit www.ifc.org.

IFCโ€™s Human Resources (HR) Department is a strategic partner to the business in developing and implementing workforce strategies and meeting organizational goals, including attracting, developing, and deploying diverse and skilled talent. IFC HR is comprised of the following five functions:

โ€ขย  Client Services - offers strategic HR partnership, program implementation, support, and global solutions to staff and management through our HR Business Partner network.ย ย

โ€ขย  Global Talent Acquisition and Mobility Services - facilitates the end-to-end recruitment process in partnership with hiring managers and attracts candidates with desired skills to join IFC. Supports candidates and staff who are relocating internationally (coming in FY25).ย ย
โ€ขย  Talent Development and Incentives -โ€ฏdesigns a skills-based talent management approach encompassing best practice HR solutions in onboarding, mentoring, career management, mobility, performance/talent management, incentives and awards, and leadership development.ย ย

IFC is committed to creating an environment that values Diversity, Equity, and inclusion (DEI) and mobilizes the unique skills, experiences, and backgrounds of IFCโ€™s staff as strategic business assets in service of IFCโ€™s mission. IFCโ€™s DEI Council sets the strategic direction and oversees the implementation of multi-year and annual priorities aligned with IFCโ€™s ambition to be a DEI leader amongst multilateral development finance institutions and a role model for its private sector clients.

In FY24, one of IFCโ€™s DEI thematic focus areas is Disabilities and Inclusion. IFC is looking for an Extended-Term Consultant (ETC) to strengthen its programming on Disabilities on three fronts: 1) Assessment of IFC and HR programs and processes. 2). Implementation of new outreach, communication, and recruitment initiatives, and 3) Employee caring throughout all employee life cycles, including internal communication and change management. The ETC will report to the Manager/Specialized Talent Programs Lead in the Talent and Incentives Unit with a dotted reporting line to the DEI Program Manager.
