Your responsibilities
We are looking for a Digital Integrated Circuit Design Engineer. The candidate will join our team of analog, digital, mixed-signal and verification engineers working on stitched wafer scale monolithic particle detector ASICs implemented in a 65 nm CMOS process. These innovative sensors, severely constrained by yield considerations, have to meet very challenging requirements in terms of power, noise, circuit density and data rate.
The holder of this position will be self-motivated, willing to learn exciting technologies, and develop innovative designs. The person will be responsible of the design, implementation and verification of low-power circuits, using digital on top methodologies, from study through definition and final implementation.

Skills and/or knowledge
Essential skills and experience: Proven experience in digital IC design with a strong understanding of VLSI principles.Proficiency in RTL design using hardware description languages (Verilog/SystemVerilog, VHDL).Proven experience in setting up and managing the RTL to GDS flow in digital EDA tools, from synthesis, through place and route to signoff.Familiarity with version control tools (Git).Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, TCL, Shell).Desired skills and experience: Timing characterization and block modelling.IRdrop/EM analysis.Analog behavioral modelling (Verilog-A/Verilog-AMS).Process-Voltage-Temperature (PVT) corners, Layout Parameter Extraction (LPE) simulations.Laboratory silicon bring-up evaluation and test experience.Fluent in English, the ability to work in French would be an advantage.Eligibility criteria:
You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.You have a professional background in Electronics engineering (or a related field) and have either: a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.Additional Information
