Supervisor: Protection Team Leader, P.4 Responsibilities1. Provides detailed monitoring and project management services, in collaboration with the Protection Team Leader, for projects concerning the Protection Programme and coordinates with HQ in ensuring that databases meet the needs of the Protection team; 25% 2. Support the Protection team with analyzing information and data for reports, including the compilation and collating of information to submit to the Strategic Plan; prepares and reviews other reports, including those related to the monthly snapshot, monthly summary, ongoing Emergency Appeal indicators; compiles inputs on best practices and lessons learned; 25% 3. Supports engagement with end users to support value-added business process improvements that will contribute to enhanced Agency performance and data transparency to support evidence-based decisions (i.e., in particular using combined data streams to generate more detailed profiles sourced from different systems); 15% 4. Prepares reports on integrated Assessments and violations of humanitarian principles in UNRWA installations and premises; 15% 5. Support with monitoring and reporting on Protection Porgramme data, including relevant trends analysis, including ad-hoc inquiries from various internal and external stakeholders; 10% 6. Support the Protection Team with the design, creation, implementation, maintenance and support to a variety of moderate to complex reports 5% 7. Performs such other duties as may be assigned 5% CompetenciesCompetencies: (i) Analyzing: very good data collection and reporting skills to draft/edit a variety of reports, studies and other correspondence in English and Arabic; (ii) Learning and Researching (iii) Applying Technical Expertise including the ability to present information and data in a clear and instructive manner (iv) Planning and Organizing: flexible, able to assess and analyse situations quickly, objectively and prudently; (v) Ability to work under pressure, flexible hours and as part of a team; (vi) Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office applications). DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: (A) Knowledge of Protection Information Management. (B) UNRWA’s operations. EducationA university degree from a recognised university-level academic institution, preferably in social sciences, political affairs, international relations, data management. Work ExperienceAt least two years of experience in data management in a humanitarian organization, relief operation, humanitarian/human rights affairs or other related discipline is required.
