What You'll Do Position Description RTI seeks a Curriculum Development Officer / Deputy Team Leader (National Expert) for the ADB-funded Solomon Islands: Senior Secondary Education Improvement Project. Position is contingent upon award and funding. Your primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Support the Team Leader in coordinating Workstream 4 activities Lead the development and review of curriculum package Ensure curriculum alignment with national education standards Supervise local curriculum development team members Coordinate with schools and education stakeholders for curriculum piloting Oversee the development of teachersโ€™ guidelines Monitor implementation progress and quality Provide technical support to curriculum writers and reviewers Conduct training workshops for teachers and curriculum officers Develop training materials and resources Mentor local curriculum development staff Support knowledge transfer initiatives Liaise with MEHRD officials Coordinate with other workstream teams Engage with school leaders and teachers Facilitate community consultations on curriculum matters Prepare regular progress reports Document curriculum development processes Contribute to project monitoring and evaluation Maintain records of curriculum development activities What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in Education, Curriculum Development, or related field (Master's degree preferred) Minimum 7 years of experience in curriculum development or educational leadership roles in Solomon Islands Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing educational programs in the Solomon Islands context Strong knowledge of Solomon Islands education system and curriculum frameworks Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Proven leadership and team management capabilities Experience in capacity building and professional development
