5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is the leading intergovernmental organization in the field of migration. It works closely with partners to promote humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. In Vanuatu, IOM supports the government and communities in addressing the challenges and opportunities of migration, such as disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, and human trafficking.

The Protection Unit within the mission is responsible for protection interventions aimed at addressing risks and responding to potential violation of rights as defined by international instruments, including migration, human rights, refugee and international humanitarian law. The unit ensures the upholding and restoration of the rights of individuals vulnerable to violence, abuse, exploitation, discrimination, neglect, and deprivation. It also supports the integration of protection principles across IOM's operations and initiatives.
