Project Context and Scope:ย The proposed project aims to address push factors that contribute to irregular migration and increase the prevalence of TIP, including a lack of legal identity as well as civil documentation. Recognizing the importance of legal identity for Iraqis to be able to access basic social services and understanding that proper protection and prevention measures must be in place to minimize trafficking, this project aims to apply five main areas of interventions: 1) support the GoIโs capacities on legal identity for Iraq nationals, both in the country and abroad; 2) increasing access to legal services and information on identity and civil documentation; 3) support WROs in advocacy regarding womenโs rights to pass lineage and citizenship to their children; 4) improving access to comprehensive protection services for VOTs and those at risk of exploitation; and 5) contributing to addressing the risk of labour trafficking within Iraq and across borders.

IOMโs official languages are English, French, and Spanish. All staff members are required to be fluent in one of the three languages.
For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written). Working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is an advantage.
