We offer you a unique opportunity to be involved in the social entrepreneurship sector in Belgium and EuropeCOMMUNICATION & COMMUNITY INTERN Time commitment: 4-6 months agreement (flexible to meet your needs)Starting date: September 2024Agreement type: Contrat de stage / Contrat de volontariatLocation: Ashoka Belgiumโ€™s office - Impact House, 20 Rue Joseph II, 1000 Brussels with possibility of home working.Report to: Romain Gustot, co-directorOnline and offline trainings on communication, management, entrepreneurship, system change, new leadership, venture, wellbeing, etc. MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ashoka is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic intern to join its Belgian office, a person with an interest in social change and a basic understanding of social innovation. The intern will assist the Belgian team with key communications campaigns, helping with marketing materials, social media and newsletter content , and co-organizing events. The successful candidate will have good writing & communication skills in English and French and/or Dutch, has strong organizational, time management , and multitasking skills, and will be social-media savvy, self- motivated as well as a strong team player. This is a great opportunity to experience working in the not-for-profit/social entrepreneurship sector and take on significant responsibilities. EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION (80%) Ashoka BEโ€™s website: assist the communication associate by making recommendations on the next steps, support with content copywriting, storytelling and editing. Oversee the daily Social Media calendar: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram + Follow-up with the creation of Ashoka public LinkedIn profile Contents strategy: source, curate and create rich content for Ashokaโ€™s social media channels, e.g. video, image and audio content. Tell our Fellowsโ€™ stories & Ashokaโ€™s history. Assist the communication associate with the external communication newsletter EVENT AND COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT (20%) Supporting the team in strategic guest list management. Assist in organisation of events and follow-up of invites Assist in coordinating the logistical delivery of events โ€“ including online events. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Proficient with Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint;Proficient with social medias: Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook, X, Youtube;Familiar with design tools (image and videos): Canva, InDesign, iMovie, etc;Must be creative and resourceful in problem solving ;Keen to develop and create communication material for Ashoka Belgium;Fluent in English; Proficient in French and/or Dutch.
