    ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT:

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the worldโ€™s largest humanitarian organization dedicated to achieving Zero Hunger (Sustainable Development Goal 2 - SDG2) by 2030. WFP works to ensure that the poorest and most vulnerable, particularly women and children, have access to the nutritious food they need to survive and thrive.

Since 1979, WFP has been supporting the Cambodian people by responding to emergency needs and enhancing long-term food and nutrition security for vulnerable households and communities. Over the years, WFP has played a key role in building resilience by supporting rural infrastructure development, nutrition programmes, disaster response efforts, and school feeding initiatives that promote children's education and health.

With the launch of the new Country Strategic Plan (CSP) 2024โ€“2028, WFP is strengthening its role as both a humanitarian and development partner to the Cambodian government. The focus is on improving food security and nutrition, enhancing human capital through nutrition and social protection, and building climate resilience via sustainable food systems and disaster risk management.

To achieve these goals, WFP is committed to increasing its advocacy and visibility, ensuring that its contributions are well-communicated to the public, government, donors, and key partners. This involves the strategic use of multi-media platforms to showcase WFPโ€™s impact and highlight its evolving role in Cambodiaโ€™s development journey.
