CLC Intern: Programme Support for the “AI4All Acceleration Programme

Work LocationUNGSC/CLC Office in presence - Brindisi - Italy Expected duration6 Months Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) provides critical Supply Chain, Geospatial, Information and Telecommunications Technologies services and Training to all peacekeeping and special political missions around the world as well as to other UN Offices, Agencies Funds and Programs. The Conference and Learning Centre offers a range of conference and event management services, and training activities for field missions, Secretariat offices, Agencies, Funds, and Programmes. It also conducts Training Need Assessment and designs, delivers, and manages training courses in the area of Soft Skills, addressed to UNGSC staff members. The CLC is also responsible for special projects, as assigned, and for the Mission Specific Induction Training (MSIT), and other ad hoc initiatives. The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) is implementing a 12-month GenAI Acceleration Programme that aims to expedite the adoption of Generative Artificial Intelligence technologies, transforming operational efficiency and decision-making processes across the organization. The CLC coordinates the \"AI4All Acceleration Program\" implementation overseeing day-to-day management, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. This internship is located in the Conference and Learning Centre (CLC), Central Service (CS), United Nations Global Service Centre(UNGSC). The Intern reports to the CLC/Program Coordinator The intern will support the CLC/Programme Coordinator in managing and implementing the GenAI Acceleration Programme at UNGSC. Tasks will include: - Assist in monitoring the GenAI Programme implementation plan, preparing reports and providing updates on its progress - Draft written communications for UNGSC staff and internal stakeholders to support coordination and information sharing - Support in the development of an engagement strategy to enhance participation in the programme - Organize and oversee meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, coordination of participants, and follow-up actions - Develop and deliver presentations on relevant topics - Design, implement, and analyze surveys and polls to assess participants engagement and areas of interest - Collect and analyze feedback from participants to the GenAI Programme. Qualifications/special skillsApplicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). The field of study must be closely related to the type of Internship applicants are applying for: Communications, Management, Business Administration, Economics, International Relations. Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that applicants are applying for, is required. Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Applicants must have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams Familiarity with AI applications for communication and digital workflows, and experience with Power BI, is desirable Ability to design surveys and polls is desirable. LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage. Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish are the official languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
