IOM Indonesia aims to ensure quality of care for refugees and asylum seekers referred to IOM by the Government of Indonesia according to applicable international humanitarian and human rights standards. IOM Indonesia aims to improve the quality of care for refugees and asylum seekers referred to IOM by the Government of Indonesia according to applicable international humanitarian and human rights standards. IOM also contributes to the increased protection of vulnerable subgroups of displaced persons, such as unaccompanied migrant children (UMCs), victims of sexual and gender-based violence, pregnant women, and the elderly, among others, through the establishment of referral mechanisms involving the active participation of specialized state and non-state service providers.
Under the direct supervision Programme Associate (Refugee Care) and overall supervision of Head of Field Office, based in Surabaya. The incumbent will be responsible for providing support for day-to-day implementation of health promotion and other implemented program activities in Surabaya.
ย Learning Objectives
Underย theย guidanceย of the Programme Associate (Refugee Care),ย participateย inย the implementationย of theย Refugeeย Careย Unit and Health Care Unitย programme,ย particularlyย inย organizingย events and support in Health program activities.Provideย supportย for theย day-to-dayย implementationย ofย programmeย activitiesย inย coordinationย with theย Health Care Unitย inย Surabaya.Co-facilitate general/non-clinical counselling sessions under the direction and supervision of the Health Care Unit.To facilitate professional development, participate in the comprehensive case management process, guided and supervised by the Head of Field Office and Health Care Unit.Maintain documentation and record-keeping for training sessions, meetings, and other Health Care Unit initiatives.Support the Refugee Care and Health Care Unit in the collection and maintenance of data related to mental health and psychosocial support.Provide assistance in protection-related activities, including awareness sessions and regular activities.ย Provide assistance in the distribution and response management of Freshdesk tickets within the Complaints and Feedback Mechanism (CFM).Provide support to the AVRR and the associated movement procedures.Work closely with the Health Care Unit and Refugee Care teams to support data collection during field visits, coordinate with service providers, and participate in community meetings to enhance health information accuracy and program outcomesUndertakeย anyย otherย relatedย dutiesย asย mayย beย assigned.
EDUCATION
Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum undergraduate school)ย in Public Health, Medical Health, Psychology, Social Welfare, Social Work, Education, or a related field from an accredited academic institution; orEnrolled in a second university degree (graduate school/equivalent); orHave graduated with a university degree within one year of graduation.
EXPERIENCE
โข ย ย ย ย Relevant professional or volunteer experience with civil society organizations, volunteer groups is an advantage.
