    The purpose of the Cash and Livelihoods Project Coordinator position is to implement delegated cash and livelihood project portfolio.ย 

    What you will do

  • Line management of cash and livelihood project field staff
Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures and awareness of NRC global and regional strategiesContribute to the development of Country, Area and Cash and Livelihoods strategies, initiate and participate in the development of other relevant infrastructure projects.ย Coordinate and implement Cash and Livelihoods project implementation (activities, budget and project documentation) as delegated by PM/APM in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements.ย Provide regular progress reports to PM.ย Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need of protection, explore and assess new and better ways to assist.ย Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer key skills.ย Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders.Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy.ย 

Specifically, you will;

Budget holding and management: ensure budget management and submit regular spending plans; develop workplans for the field teams and follow up with progress on a daily basis; develop procurement plan and ensure all procurements are done in time; contribute to provide monthly activity reports and donor reports; contribute to proposal and budget development.ย Donor compliance: ensure donor rules and regulations are followed and all necessary documentation is in place and backed up as needed.Provide inputs to support the drafting of concept papers and proposals in coordination with the Project Manager and the CC Specialist.Draft donor reports for on-going projects, in coordination with the Project Manager.Responsible for the quality of the program: quality of data collection and distributions are according to SoPs with correct accountability measures in placeM&E: With support from the Cash and Livelihoods PM, PDM and M&E, ensure that the following activities are implemented according to the workplan: market assessments; beneficiary assessments and verification; PDM surveys; and endline surveys. Ensures reporting tools are in place for daily tracking of activities/trainings/distributions.Overall coordination of beneficiary selection process; ensures there is a communication strategy with beneficiaries in place; ensures there is a functioning complaints mechanism.ย Support in identification and procurement of training service providers, while putting in place systems to ensure qualityOversee the use of different aid modalities in the emergency response. Take informed decisions over the implementation modality based on market assessments and price monitoring.ย Coordinate with the Logistics, Finance and Security departments to organize activitiesRepresent NRC in external meetings as needed, primarily with MoA, MoLSA, and any governorate level coordination mechanisms on Cash and Livelihoods.Cooperate closely with counterparts from other NRC core competencies to identify opportunities for integration/synergy of NRC services alongside livelihoods.

Previous experience and contextual knowledge within Iraqย Skills in monitoring and evaluation would be beneficial.ย Experience with multi-sectoral and integrated Cash and Livelihoods programmingย Professional knowledge of cash transfer modalities/systems.ย Previous experience in implementing Value chain projects (Agriculture, poultry, livestock)Minimum 2 years of experience in Community Driven Development project (Farmer alliances, associations, cooperatives, committees etc.)Experience with early recovery /reconstruction projects is an asset.ย Familiarity with the UN Cluster system and response coordination mechanisms.University degree or higher education relevant to the assignment (social services, agriculture, relevant field). Proven work experience will be considered as a substitute for formal education.ย Familiarity with donor requirements like ITC, EU, KFW, GIZ and UN agencies.2 yearsโ€™ experience implementing Cash and Livelihoods projects in Ninewaย Familiar with the line management of staff and work plan coordinationย IT competencies including MS Officeย
