5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

BACKGROUND

In Cameroon, the governance of migration and reintegration remains fragmented, with no national migration policy and no standardized national reintegration reporting mechanism. As highlighted in theย Migration Governance Indicators โ€“ Cameroon Profile 2020, migration data is not systematically collected, harmonized, or updated, and interministerial coordination is limited.ย

Theย RRR Project, funded by the European Union, aims to address these gaps by strengthening evidence-based migration governance, improving reintegration coordination, and supporting the Government in establishing structured mechanisms for data-driven decision-making.ย Within this framework, the project seeks to:

Support the creation and operationalization ofย Strategic and Technical Working Groupsย on reintegration governance; Facilitate the development and progressive validation of aย National Reintegration Report (NRR)ย as a foundational reference document; Strengthenย stakeholder mobilization, data flows, and analytical capacityย across ministries and partners.

To achieve these objectives, the RRR Project requires aย short-term Reintegration Assistant โ€“ Data Specialistย who will consolidate indicators, generate analytical evidence, coordinate ministerial contributions, and provide the technical and organizational support needed for the Government and partners to progressively endorse and adopt a National Reintegration Report.

PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

Under the direct supervision of the Senior M&E (Development), and in close coordination with the Head of Program, the Data Specialist will ensure a coherent, evidence-based and inclusive approach to reintegration data and governance.
