The Audit Analyst II supports overall financial compliance and risk management. Provides oversight of audits initiated by funders and ensures sampled documents and other information provided is accurate and appropriate. Provides quality assurance review of management responses. Supports audits including but not limited to statutory, labor, tax, money laundering, and Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA) audits required by host countries. Ensures all subrecipients that qualify for audits undergo such and reports are shared with project staff. Regularly interact with representatives of funders, governmental agencies, and external auditors. Recommends actions to limit risks. Maintains a professional demeanor at all times.

Accountabilities:

  • Has or obtains a thorough knowledge of external regulations, OHADA requirements, applicable financial and accounting statutes as well as internal corporate policies and procedures.

  • Has adequate knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

  • Interprets and applies principles, contractual and regulatory requirements, and evaluates the impact on policies, procedures and practices.

  • Work includes accumulating data, summarizing information into presentable reports/forms, and discerning valid from invalid data comparisons.

  • Use systems to produce reports, financial models and databases.

  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with regulated industries, consultants, management and staff.

  • Identify and obtain explanation for discrepancies and variations in data.

  • Prepares No-Response Letters for the subrecipients who did not respond to the FHI 360โ€™s certification forms.

  • Reviews the USAID ADS591 Audit reports and Single Audit (2 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 200, Subpart F) reports and prepare Due Diligence Review(s) (DDRs), as needed.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
